For first time filler patients, the first syringe of filler is typically a good base to get started. Filler is used to fill in deep-set or sunken eye hollows that give the appearance of dark circles. Even though filler does not remove the actual pigmentation of the under eye, supporting the skin with filler makes it appear brighter and gives you a less tired look. The filler used is determined at the office visit depending on assessment. Our injectors use a cannula to perform this procedure on 90% of the cases. Filler is injected strategically to the horizontal neck folds that we call "tech-neck". The filler is injected very superficially.
