In the booking notes, please indicate the area you want to treat and if you are submitting the claim to insurance/ require a form to be filled for insurance. What causes hyperhidrosis? Eccrine sweat glands are particularly numerous on the feet, palms, face, and armpits. When your body is overheated, when you’re moving around, when you’re feeling emotional, or as a result of hormones, nerves activate the sweat glands. This is how you sweat. When those nerves overreact, it causes hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis, although it is not life-threatening, can interfere with your positive self-esteem and have a substantial effect on the quality of life. It can cause embarrassment, and prevent you from participating in social activities or exercising with friends, or engaging in team sports. Neuromodulators such as Dysport or Botox can successfully eliminate excessive sweating. Your treatment will begin with a consultation where we will discuss your concerns and goals and provide a comprehensive analysis. We will work with you to determine the type of hyperhidrosis that you suffer from, and will perform a sweat test. We will answer any questions, provide pricing and treatment options, and ensure that you understand pre and post-care requirements. CUSTOMIZABLE TO YOU - Botox™ is $11/unit. Dysport, Xeomin and Nuceiva are $10/unit. The total cost of your Neuromodulator treatment will vary depending on several factors that are unique to your muscle structure. We encourage everyone to come in for a consultation, during which we will go over all the details of this treatment including cost and what to expect. NOTE: Our treatment provider will determine the appropriate dose for your needs. The deposit for this service at the time of booking is $50 +HST. The deposit will secure your appointment time and go towards the cost of the service. Our deposits are non-refundable.
