HOW DOES IT WORK?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that provides a means to camouflage missing eyebrow hair, creating fullness and shaping the eyebrows. This technique is performed by depositing cosmetic tattoo pigments in the upper layers of the skin with the use of a microblade hand tool with attached needles on the end, that are in a thin-straight line, allowing the artist to create individual hair strokes simulating brow hair. The
Microblading technique involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that are very natural looking, and may also involves the use of a machine with a specially devised hygienic needle cartridge. The pigment used in microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Microblading is a 2-step process, usually 6-8 weeks apart. It is important to complete both the initial procedure and touch-up.
STEP 1: The first stage of the treatment typically takes 1-2 hours. No downtime is required after microblading, however, we recommend keeping your eyebrows free from any liquids for at least 7 days after treatment and out of sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after treatment. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the colour to fully set in.
STEP 2: The second stage of the treatment is a touch-up that takes approximately 1 hour and is included in your service. The touch-up are done no earlier than 5 weeks of your initial procedure and no later than 10 weeks in order to corrects any irregularities in the microbladed hair strokes, colour tones and finishes the process. It is crucial that you complete the touch up treatment. Without it, the results will not be optimal.
